Ramen aka Ramyeon

There is no class or gender divide in the love for this staple food in K-Dramaland: everyone loves ramyeon and everyone has a secret recipe how to “cook” it best.
But usually everyone agrees that you have to eat it before it gets soaked. A usual way to consume it, when cooked at home, is to eat it from the pot lid. It is believed to taste better like this.
When not cooked at home, ramyun is bought in a convenience store and directly eaten there in the shop’s window bars.
Kimchi is a favorite side dish to eat Ramen with. Baek In-Ho (Cheese in the Trap-4) goes as far as to say: “Ramen without kimchi is like bread without read bean and cabbage wrap without pork and chicken without pickled radish.”
